Precise (4/1) and Wayne Lordan won the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh on Sunday.
Ballydoyle’s perceived second string, the daughter of Starspangledbanner rode a two and a half length winner over her stablemate and race favorite True Love (4/5), the mount of Ryan Moore.

Precise, who finished seventh behind True Love in the Betfred 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on May 3, ran towards the back of the field for much of today’s race.
Positioned in third position approaching the 700 meter pole, Lordan quickly asked Precise to extend and she stayed well in place to resist True Love’s challenge.
