The rapper revealed how he makes sure his kids, who are big fans of his music, enjoy him doing his thing, while staying within the boundaries of their age and decent exposure.

Expletive version of Ludacris’ music is forbidden to his children

The rapper revealed that his daughters love listening to his music, but he assures that he only plays the clean version for them.
Ludacris pointed out during the 2026 American Music Awards red carpet that there are all “types of parental guidance” on his music, and he lives by those terms.
The musician is the father of Karma Christine, Cai Bella Bridges, Cadence Gaëlle and Chance Oyali, and when asked if he would support any of his daughters exploring music, he said yes.
“Absolutely. I want them all to follow their dreams. They love, actually, one of them loves KATSEYE, so she’s mad that she’s not here. [at the AMAs] right now,” he told US Magazine.
Aside from being an accomplished rapper, the songwriter has also carved out a niche for himself as a famous actor, creating a huge fan base from the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
The “Baby” rapper prioritizes balance in his family life

Ludacris opened up about another integral part of his life and how he tries to find a balance between maintaining a thriving career while remaining the best father to his children.
He said he does not spend more than 72 hours away from home before taking the next available flight to reunite with his loved ones.
Depending on the musician, he sometimes tries to achieve a 50/50 or even 80/20 balance, in which his family takes the largest percentage.
The rapper said working all these years and making all this money gives him the opportunity to make these decisions now.
Ludacris, who presented alongside GloRilla at Monday’s event where BTS won the Song of the Summer award for “Swim,” reflected on his 3-decade career in the industry.
The songwriter emphasized that he is always amazed by his longevity and the love fans have for him, which ultimately decides whether his music will stand the test of time.
Inside Ludacris’ happy family of six and his life as the ultimate girl-dad

For the rapper, fatherhood has always been about raising confident young women who embrace their uniqueness because each of them is different.
As PEOPLE noted, Ludacris explained on The Jennifer Hudson Show in 2024 that accepting the parts of themselves that they find strange or out of place is extremely important in today’s world.
The actor stressed that he loves all aspects of fatherhood, revealing that raising daughters in life is something different. Ludacris’ life changed dramatically in 2001 when he became a father for the first time shortly after the release of his major debut album “Back for the First Time.”
He revealed that he was very ready to be a father at the time because he was doing well mentally, spiritually and financially.
What’s the father of four’s favorite part about being a dad?

Shortly before the arrival of her fourth child, Ludacris spoke with Yahoo Life about the joys and challenges of raising children, while teaching them how to set goals and manage their money.
According to the actor, his daughter, who made an appearance in Jif’s Lil Jif Project campaign in 2021, took classes on how to navigate the industry she was slowly settling into.
He emphasized that parenting education does not take a one-size-fits-all approach and must regularly mix new technique with old ones to progress. However, his favorite part is being a father to his daughters and the fact that he almost never says no to their requests.
Referencing his background as an only child, Ludacris noted that becoming an easy parent while watching his wife take on a strict role was not something he ever imagined would happen. He added that he never thought he would have so many children among his offspring.
“You never know how much love is possible. The amount of love that exists in my home is something I never imagined. I wouldn’t say it never seemed impossible; I just never dreamed of it because I didn’t know that so much could be given and received every day,” he concluded.
Ludacris almost missed the arrival of his fourth princess

In 2021, TODAY shared that the rapper almost missed one of the biggest moments of his life when his youngest child, Chances Oyali Bridges, was born.
He revealed TODAY that he was filming a movie in New Mexico with Queen Latifah, scheduled for release in 2022 when he got the call.
He remembers his wife telling him to rush to Atlanta as soon as possible to welcome the baby, because she was in active labor.
The stumbling block was that the rapper was unable to secure a commercial flight in time and had to make a big decision: to use his private plane.
Ludacris, in the most humble way possible, revealed that he had had his plane for some time and that his uncle, who was his pilot, flew the plane down from Atlanta to New Mexico to bring him home.
Fortunately, the race against time worked and the rapper went to Atlanta, two hours early, for the arrival of his daughter.
Is parenting A+ for Ludacris?
