Andy Cohen choked up on air Thursday night…shedding tears for a former employee and friend who died after a battle with brain cancer.
The TV host took a serious tone during “Watch What Happens Live”… revealing Kyra Samson — a former Bravo production executive — died Tuesday at age 28.

Andy said Kyra spent 4 years with Bravo and was “known for her sweet smile and gentle demeanor”… although she could also use her powerful voice to bring together huge BravoCon crowds if necessary.
He said Kyra would be terribly missed by everyone at the show and everyone who knew her… encouraging people to donate to a fund created in honor of Kyra, to benefit cancer research. The fund is approaching $300,000 of a $350,000 target as of Friday morning.
Andy ended his message by saying that the thoughts and prayers of everyone at Bravo go out to the Samson family.

He wrote: “Even though her life was stolen from her, she handled these months with courage, composure and determination. And all I want is for no family to feel what we feel today. May no young person suffer like her. »
