Great American State Fair North Carolina Governor Condemns Confederate Flag Stand Display

A Confederate flag that was on display at North Carolina’s booth at the Great American State Fair on DC’s National Mall has been condemned by the governor…and will be removed.
Here’s the deal…the stand went viral Friday after a visitor posted a video of monitors showing a flag split between the current flag and the Confederate flag. Needless to say, some people were super pissed.

The state decided not to participate due to high costs. The stand is therefore sponsored by private organizations. pic.twitter.com/tsnU9GjOYO @ReubenJones1
A spokesperson for the governor. Josh Stein told TMZ… “This flag does not represent the North Carolina we love. America 250 is about unity and bringing our nation together. We are glad that the flag that did the opposite has now been retired. Here in Raleigh, North Carolina, we are hosting a July 4th celebration of A250 that will honor the spirit of equality and freedom of the Declaration of Independence. Everyone is welcome.”

We also hear… a member of Stein’s team spoke with the event organizers – and they are working on dismantling this part of the exhibit.
Mt. Olive Pickle Company, one of the booth’s sponsors, has ended its involvement in the controversy, according to reports …saying in part: “We were unaware that an image of the Confederate flag was included in a video as part of this exhibit, and we withdrew our participation. Our company upholds the values of human dignity, opportunity and freedom.”
