Pokémon Winds and Waves It may have only released one trailer so far, but it’s given fans something to think about. This naturally resulted in fan designs for everything from the final evolution of Grass-type Browt to a future new ghost type Eevee evolution. However, just like before the trailer arrived, leaks regarding the upcoming Gen 10 games continue to appear online. One of these leaks shows a new Pokémon that fans seem to absolutely adore.
This suggestion came from BallGuy on X back in April, and since then, fans have rallied around the idea. The new Pocket Monster would be a flying fish. This is supposedly a new core Pokémon, and while no evolutions have been shared, many previous mainline games have given us a new evolutionary line of birds for new regions. Will this flying fish-like Pokémon be the next Rookidee or Wattrel? Or will it be more Cramorant? Only time will tell, and we’ll also have to wait to see if the leak is legit or not.
It’s over Redditthe reception given to this new Pokémon was warm. “I hope it’s real” reads one of the comments.
“It’s so majestic…” reads another.
As several users have pointed out, a flying fish-type Pokémon has been removed from previous generations more than once, so it’s entirely possible. Winds and waves is bringing back some of these earlier designs for Gen 10. Of course, it’s also worth mentioning that a flying fish would perfectly encapsulate the dynamics of winds and waves. It would definitely be on theme.
However, as with any leak, it’s best to take this one with a grain of salt. Nothing about this new flying fish Pokémon has been officially confirmed, and it’s nowhere to be seen in the reveal trailer for Winds and waves which was broadcast during Pokémon gifts for Februarydespite seeing quite a few fish and birds in this video.
Although a number of new Pokémon designs have appeared online, the only ones that have been officially confirmed are the new Gen 10 starters. That being said, this idea of a flying fish seems pretty cool, and it would definitely make sense for games called Pokémon Winds and Waves. Given the positive responses from fans here, we hope this turns out to be true. Until we know more about Gen 10 games next year, we won’t know for sure.
