2026 FIFA World Cup Mexican fans play a loud lullaby for England players The night before their confrontation

Tensions are already flaring ahead of Sunday’s FIFA showdown… with the England team reportedly enjoying a chaotic night of “pre-match hospitality” from passionate Mexican fans outside their team hotel.
According to social media videos circulating online, large groups of Mexican fans gathered overnight outside the England team hotel… setting off fireworks and blasting loud music in what appeared to be an effort to disrupt the team’s sleep ahead of the big match.

It is unclear whether any players were directly affected, but the timing of the late-night celebration had all the elements of a deliberate attempt to delay England’s preparations ahead of Sunday’s match.

Security and local police were present around the hotel entrance, although there were no confirmed reports of arrests or confrontations between fans and authorities. Neither team has publicly commented on the nightly disturbances.
While the Mexican fans made their presence clear, England will now have to decide whether that noise was simply down to passionate fandom… or a psychological first shot fired before kick-off.
