Music streaming service Spotify gets new AI assistant features, so you’ll be able to ask contextual questions about the content you’re listening to. You will be able to have a “back and forth conversation” with Spotify to ask questions about music, podcasts and audiobooks in a feature now rolling out to beta users.
In a video showcasing the feature, Spotify shows a text box in the middle of the beta app, titled “Request Music” or “Talk to Spotify,” that lets you ask questions like “how many times have I listened to Bad Bunny?” »
While testing the new feature, CNET received a warning message saying: “You are about to talk to the AI, which can make mistakes. Do not share sensitive data.”
While everything music streaming services use algorithms to deliver content, Spotify has gone all out with AI features in recent years, with a AI DJAI playlists, and an AI spam filter for fake and misleading content. Meanwhile, Apple also has its own Playlist Playground AI functionality.
Spotify did not immediately respond to CNET’s request for clarification on the new feature.
Talk to Spotify is rolling out in beta to eligible Premium users ages 18 and older in the United States, Ireland, and Sweden on iOS And Android.
