Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have been in the spotlight thanks to their messy relationship. The couple dated for almost a decade before splitting. They married in 2019 and welcomed their only child, Cruz, around two years later.

While the couple is still legally married, Cartwright has filed for divorce since 2024 and both parties have returned to the dating pool. However, it seems the TV personality has drawn the line on Taylor dating people in her inner circle.
Cartwright has reportedly severed ties with her longtime publicist, Lori Krebs, who has been with her longer than her relationship with her ex-husband lasted. Krebs and the mother of one had a professional relationship that lasted over a decade, and has now ended.
The Bravo star fired her longtime publicist after cozy photos of Krebs and Taylor made waves online. Photos obtained by TMZ showed the couple cuddled up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, seemingly enjoying each other’s company and using lots of PDA.
Sources told the outlet that Krebs called Cartwright before the photos were released to give him an idea of the story. This apparently did not affect the mother’s decision to cut ties with the publicist.
Inside the steamy weekend getaway to Mexico
Taylor and Krebs spent the weekend at the Mousai Hotel, where uploaded photos show them getting awfully close inside the pool. The two were photographed with their arms wrapped around each other while enjoying the water, and at one point they appeared to be having a conversation.
They were seen standing chest to chest while talking to each other in the resort’s infinity pool. Videos were also posted online showing them chatting while sitting on the poolside lounge chairs during the trip.
According to reports, the reality star and Krebs were closer than the photos showed. The witness said the two men made no secret that they were together with other guests and were spending the day in each other’s arms. Even though the trip was part of a larger group celebration for Taylor’s birthday, which fell on March 11, the duo found a way to spend lots of quality time.

Fans, friends, and followers saw something similar unfold, but from the other side of the table. Cartwright previously found herself in the spotlight for engaging in an affair with her ex-husband’s friend, Julian Sensley, shortly after their split in 2024.
The Blast shared that “The Valley” star insisted at the time that his affair with Sensley was not the result of a carefully considered decision, although lingering resentment toward Taylor was a contributing factor to his actions. She also tried to justify her actions by stating that there was never a “no dating in friend group” policy between them.
Cartwright explained that at the time, she was too angry with her ex-husband to worry about hurting him when she began hooking up with Sensley. The whirlwind romance ended quietly within a few months; the reality star learned that Sensley was dishonest about her living situation and her relationship with her then-partner.

Cartwright chose to focus on herself and her healing after seeing the end of a two-month relationship with longtime friend Brandon Hanson. From the start, fans had been worried about her re-entering the dating pool so soon after her split from Taylor. Another factor that raised eyebrows was that Hanson had a wife and three children.
“Quick note, I’m single. We actually didn’t last… We were really good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship,” the reality star shared, announcing that they had called it quits.
The Blast reported that she pointed out that their romance became public sooner than they wanted; however, this did not influence their decision to break up.
The TV personality revealed further explaining that they couldn’t continue the relationship due to long distance and that Hanson had a lot of other responsibilities to take care of. Despite their short-lived romance, which she said ended “amicably,” they still cared about each other.

Initially, Cartwright had full custody of Cruz and Taylor requested joint legal custody, but they recently reached common ground. The custody agreement states that neither parent will pay child support to the other and that they have agreed to share their time with their son.
The former couple also agreed to share custody and responsibility for decisions regarding Cruz’s health, welfare and education. However, Cartwright would have the upper hand when it comes to healthcare decisions if they can’t agree.
The Blast shared that other restrictions were put in place, particularly due to Taylor’s struggles with addiction. Neither parent should be under the influence of marijuana, other hard drugs, or alcohol while with Cruz. They are also not allowed to introduce their new partner to their son before a waiting period of 6 months.
