Journalist Brandon Tatum says he had no prior relationship with Mississippi Chancery judge Ashlee Cole Or Warren Hudson‘s family before reaching out… pushing back against claims that he was chosen because of an existing connection.
The ‘Officer Tatum Show’ host sat down with ‘TMZ In the Know’ to discuss Nolan Wells” and responded to speculation Cole sought him out because his conservative politics made him a friendly platform for Warren’s family.

Tatum says he had never spoken with Cole before she contacted him, adding that it’s only natural for a parent trying to tell a loved one’s story to choose a trusted person to present it fairly. He compared her to Nolan’s mother, Christine Wonsleyturning to a lawyer Ben Crump to defend the interests of his family after the death of his son.
Tatum also pushed back against claims that Cole’s position as a sitting judge created a conflict in the case, arguing that she presided over family court matters and had no authority over a criminal investigation.

He adds that if Cole had had the kind of influence that some critics suggest, Warren would not be publicly accused of murdering his best friend and would not need a social media platform to give his version of events.

As TMZ previously reported…Warren joined Tatum for an interview and said he had nothing to do with Nolan’s death or any alleged tampering with the teen’s phone.
He also claimed Nolan refused repeated calls to leave Horn Island with his group before disappearing.
