“We do not comment on rumors or speculation, and the team is not for sale,” a spokesperson for Paul Allen’s estate said in a released statement. “We have previously said this will change at some point depending on Paul’s wishes, but I have no news to share. Our goal right now is to win the Super Bowl and complete the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers in the coming months.”
In 2022, Jody Allen reiterated that the Seahawks and Trail Blazers will eventually be put up for sale. Allen’s estate agreed in September to sell the Trail Blazers for $4.25 billion.
Paul Allen agreed to purchase the Seahawks from Ken Behring in 1996, and the deal was finalized the following year. Since then, the Seahawks have made the playoffs 17 times, including 11 since 2010.
