The fallout from the joint US-Israeli attack on Iran has led to the highest activity ever recorded on X, the platform owner. Elon Musk confirmed Sunday.
Musk made the statement in response to Nikita Bier, product manager at X. Bier said Saturday that today had been “the biggest day on X in history.”
“Highest usage of X ever,” Musk replied.
The exchange took place after the United States and Israel carried out airstrikes and drones attacks on multiple targets across Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatolla Ali Khamenei as well as several other senior Iranian officials, including the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Images of airstrikes against Iran and Iran’s retaliation against Neighboring countries spread on social media like wildfire throughout Saturday and Sunday.
The strikes also quickly gave rise to widespread debate over whether the attacks benefited the United States and whether President Donald Trump had the power to execute them without Congressional approval.
Ben Rhodes, a senior Obama-era official who helped negotiate the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, faced massive criticism after trying to reprimand Trump for the attacks.

Rhodes argued on Benjamin Netanyahu “seem completely indifferent to the human beings – on all sides – who will suffer.”
“Trump’s second term was a worst-case scenario,” Rhodes added.
Rhodes was quickly ridiculed by many conservatives on social media, who pointed to the Obama-era Iran deal as a catalyst for allowing the situation to escalate to this point and placing blame on the Obama administration for not taking the Iranian threat seriously.
