Pitt Season 2 Episode 11 ICE Agent Script Had Aired

If you watched the promos for the next episodes of The Pitt season 2, it shouldn’t have been surprising that an ICE storyline came our way. In fact, it’s been the subject of much discussion since the press caught wind of it.

This time around, the grief is much smaller in scale, but it encompasses another issue that affects the United States as a whole.

As you can see in the trailer above, a woman detained by two male ICE agents is brought to Dr. Robbie (Noah Wyle) and Cassie (Fiona Dourif). Blood covers her arms as her handcuffs cut into her wrists, the distressed woman clearly too scared to say anything.

When Cassie asks if she’d like to call anyone, an ICE agent immediately responds that there are “no calls allowed.” As Episode 11 continues, it’s clear that we’re only scratching the surface of something bigger than any of us.

It’s almost unbearable to watch, but the stars of the HBO Max show were in an even more uncomfortable position, as Dourif explains.

“You could really tell on set that we were doing this”

“There are a few scenes with Roxie [Hamler, Cassie’s patient] it was very vulnerable for both of us,” Dourif says when I ask him about The Pitt the most difficult moments of season 2.

“It’s treated a bit like a church on set, so we’re careful and respectful and quiet. So I would say scenes like that where it’s really about your personal relationship with death or something deep, that doctors deal with on a daily basis in real emergency rooms.

“The ICE scenes were very uncomfortable to shoot,” she continues. “You could see on set that we were doing it. You’re always a little more nervous, in a way. I think it’s good. It helps to be able to see it on camera, because everyone is in it. If you look at the deep background, everyone is telling the same story, so that helps, it helps us do justice to these real storylines.”

And justice they served. The fact that The Pitt tackles some of America’s biggest problems head-on. That’s exactly why it’s one of the best TV shows around…and it’s something Dourif clearly knows.

“It’s a really expertly made show and because of that, it’s just a lot of fun to work on. I feel very lucky to be here. Very, extraordinarily lucky.”
