2023: Enugu workers back Governor Ugwuanyi on Mbah, Ossai choice

Heads, management and staff of Boards, Institutions, Parastatals, Agencies and Commissions (BIPACs) working under the Enugu State Government on Tuesday converged at Government House, Enugu, to appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his good works in the state despite the nation's challenges at the frontier of economy, security and health.

The jubilant workers of Enugu, led by the chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ESUBEB), Chief Ikeje Asogwa, also praised Governor Ugwuanyi for the choice and emergence of Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai as the gubernatorial candidate and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) vice-governor candidate in the state, respectively.

They declared their solidarity and support for Governor Ugwuanyi, who is the PDP candidate for the Senatorial District of Enugu North, Barr. Mba, Barr. Ossai and other PDP candidates in the 2023 elections, promising to work around the clock and mobilize the electorate during the electoral process to secure landslide victories for the PDP and its flag bearers.

Speaking at the event, Chief Asogwa told Governor Ugwuanyi, who was with PDP gubernatorial candidate Barr. Mbah, his running mate, Barr. Ossai and the state chairman of the party, the Hon. Augustine Nnamani, that the workers came on a solidarity visit "to applaud you for the good work you have done in the state".

He added that the visit was also “to thank you for our brothers who emerged from the last PDP gubernatorial primary election in Enugu State, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.”

Chief Asogwa, who is the chief executive of the Enugu State PDP campaign organization, stressed that the workers were ready to make Barr. Mbah and Barr. Ossai won the 2023 state gubernatorial election "to take the state to greater heights".

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Local Government Pensions Board, Hon. Rod. Nana Ogbodo, reiterated the workers' unwavering support for Governor Ugwuanyi, Barr. Mba, Barr. Ossai, and other PDP candidates in the state.

Mrs. Ugochi Madueke and the Chief Executive Officer of Enugu State Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA), Chief Mrs. Amaka Anajemba expressed their gratitude to Governor Ugwuanyi for empowering women in the state to various titles, reassuring him that workers are solidly behind his administration and the PDP candidates.

They went further to thank the governor for choosing Barr. Mbah and Barr. Ossai and pledged to join hands and galvanize women in the state to elect them to power in 2023.
