2023: FGBMFI Kicks Against Same Faith Note, Money Politics
The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) has come out to reject the idea of a same-faith ticket for the presidency and the infamous financial policy, as the nation prepares for the upcoming 2023 elections , saying it is a responsibility she owes to Nigerians and the country, in her position as a "spiritual guardian" organization.
The organization made the position known in Abuja on Thursday via FGBMFI-Nigeria National President, Arc.
Odedo called on eligible voters to vote for credible, not mediocre candidates at all levels. He also noted with dismay the negative effects of monetary policy in the country.
He said: "We abhor the same faith running for president. We believe that sensitive positions should be divided between the two major religions. We abhor and caution against the politics of money and buying votes this time."
According to him, the National Convention will enable members of the organization to pray against the worrying insecurity the country is grappling with, as well as articulate the support of patriotic Nigerians and partner with the government for success the elections.< /p>
He further said that while the leaders of the organization will use the opportunity of the Convention to appeal to the conscience of Nigerians to vote for capable people at the polls, people holding positions Critical politicians would also be urged to redouble their efforts to end endemic insecurity across the country.

“We want to take this opportunity to commend the federal government for its efforts in combating insecurity and bringing socio-economic stability to the country. We ask, however, that no stone is left unturned to ensure that we provide a permanent solution to the problems of insecurity facing this nation and the economic hardships facing Nigerians today.
“We also send our deepest condolences to the victims of kidnappings and insurgencies across the country. Likewise, we express our condolences to those affected by the devastating floods in the country. We urge the government to all levels to do whatever is necessary to mitigate the hardships victims face and to verify future events.As the nation prepares for elections, we underscore the critical role of elections as a mechanism for recruiting leaders.
"A nation rises or falls on the quality of its leadership. You cannot vote for mediocre and expect first class performance. We therefore urge Nigerians to ensure that we votes with the right caliber of people in the next election.
“We urge our members, in particular, and Nigerians in general, to ensure that they exercise their right to vote by voting in the elections. As we pray for God's help in all our nation-building efforts, we call on the government and election arbiters to put in place all necessary mechanisms to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
