2023: RTEAN declares its support for APC, Tinubu

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) says it is strongly supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 general election .

The union's national chairman, Musa Muhammed, announced this in a statement in Lagos through the union's national publicity secretary, Abdulrahman Amusan.

Mr. Muhammed, also the president of RTEAN in Lagos State, said the union has always supported APC since 2015 and 2023 will be no exception.

“The union leadership remains a strong supporter of the ambition for a second term of Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate in 2023.< /p>

"I am still a bona fide member of APC; I have not belonged to any other political party since 2015.

“Our support goes to APC and the Lagos State Government.

"As the Lagos government is for the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, we are also for Asiwaju," Mr. Muhammed said.

According to him, the union came out boldly in 2015 and 2019 to support APC and would do the same in 2023.

The President of RTEAN described Mr. Sanwo-Olu's performance in Lagos as remarkable, adding that Mr. Tinubu had also done a lot to develop and empower many people across the country.

“I, as a carded member of APC, support APC from the local government level to the federal level with all of my members,” he added.

Mr. Muhammed said the harmonious relationship the union has had with the Lagos State government will continue.

He said the union leadership would soon hold a rally to show support for the ruling party in the state.

"We have also ordered all our members to pick up their permanent voter card (PVC).

"Soon we will go out for the operation show your voter cards throughout the federation.

“In our next mega rally, all members will show their PVCs,” Mr. Muhammed said.
