People's Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has advanced the reasons why Nigerian youth should consider the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as the preferred option in the 2023 elections.

He said the APC candidate had ensured that the vast majority of the labor force, which was mostly made up of young people, was employed.

He said Mr Tinubu had also launched the Drug Abuse Campaign Initiative to educate teenagers about the risks associated with illicit drug use, noting that the widespread drug abuse epidemic had successfully destroys many young.

Mr. Nnamani said that Lagos State under the leadership of Mr. Tinubu has distributed more than 1 million naira in grants to each of the registered voluntary youth organizations as a token of appreciation for their helpful efforts in reorienting and to encourage them to be more productive.

"Tinubu has also increased the annual funding for rehabilitation agencies to over 3 million naira and then set up youth centers to participate in educational and recreational activities," he said.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has spent N14 million and N4 million respectively to renovate Onikan Youth Center in Lagos Island and Akinwunmi Youth Center in Ikeja, while leisure facilities that had been abandoned for years were renovated.
