Akeredolu: Acting Governor Aiyedatiwa denies crisis in Ondo Executive Council
Acting Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has dispelled rumors circulating in the state of crisis among members of the state's Executive Council, saying the situation is fueled by political gladiators desperate.
In a statement on Tuesday, Aiyedatiwa said he has maintained constant communication with his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who is currently on sick leave abroad due to an undisclosed illness.< /p>
The Acting Governor also assured the public that Akeredolu is expected to resume his duties soon and continue with his official duties as soon as he is certified medically fit by his doctors.
Aiyedatiwa further conveyed Akeredolu's appreciation for the prayers and well wishes received from the people of the state, stressing that the Governor is in good spirits and recovering well.
“I have been in contact with him, the last being on Sunday, July 9, 2023, when he thanked me and other members of the State Executive Council for holding the fort during his absence.
"I would like to urge the general public, as usual, to ignore these unfortunate lies and subterfuge like the antics of desperate political gladiators across political divides."
