Alton Towers Resort is offering thrill-seeking roller coaster fans the chance to ride its Nemesis attraction for the last ride before it closes for an overhaul - with the man who created it.

The ride is due to close on the 6th November and will return in 2024. Those who "think they have what it takes to take on Nemesis one last time" can stand as a final "trial specimen".

The lucky few will board the inverted roller coaster with creative originator, John Wardley.

Alton Towers, who announced the temporary closure of the ride in September, claims the ride "is now under the control of The Phalanx, a secret organization tasked with keeping the beast under control".

The station explained: " This elite organization claims that Nemesis - the beast the ride pins - is behaving abnormally.

'They are looking for the last riders they call "final test specimens" to help with investigations, and they decline to comment further on this ...
