Kelly Day from Amazon, Manuel Rougeron from Canal+ Group, Uday Shankar from Bodhi Tree among the speakers at APOS 2023

Media Partners Asia has announced the full list of speakers for its APOS Summit in Bali, which includes Manuel Rougeron , Asia-Pacific director of Canal+ Group, Uday Shankar, director of Bodhi Tree Systems, and Amazon Prime Video, head of Kelly Day international.

Canal+ Group has just acquired 26% of the Asian regional streamer Viu, which will also be present at the Conference on media, technology, telecommunications and streaming focusing on Asia, with Janice Lee, CEO of Viu, among the confirmed speakers.

The heavyweight list also includes Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and President, Global Streaming, JB Perrette ; President and CEO of Paramount, International, Pam Kaufman; Kaata Sakatomo, Vice President of Content, Netflix Japan; Phil Hardman, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of BBC Studios; Candle Media Co-CEO and Founder Kevin Mayer; Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany; Nine Entertainment CEO Mike Sneesby; and Saugata Mukherjee, head of content at Indian streamer SonyLIV.

Tech personalities include Animoca Brands Executive Chairman Yat Siu; Sam Bright, Vice President and General Manager of Google Play; Snap APAC President Ajit Mohan; and Jaeson Ma, Chairman of EST Media Holdings and CEO of OP3N.

Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo, CEO of Vision+ and MNC Group; Sutanto Hartono, Managing Director of Emtek and CEO of Surya Citra Media and Vidio streamer; and Manoj Punjabi, founder and CEO of MD Pictures. Also attending the Southeast Asia Summit are Ernest L. Cu, President and CEO of The Globe of the Philippines, and Euan Smith, CEO of Astro Malaysia.

APOS organizer MPA noted that the summit was being held at a time when "Macroeconomic volatility combined with the impact of technology and the growing importance of scale continue to disrupt Asia-Pacific's major entertainment economies and companies in their post-pandemic growth phase. The panels cover a wide range of topics, but aim to explore how best to create value for consumers, advertisers and shareholders.

"This year's APOS Summit brings together a diverse group of industry players including platforms, brands, creators and investors as we focus on the next stage of value creation, disruption and innovation in APAC's $150 billion entertainment industry over three days of speeches, briefings, networking and receptions,” said MPA Executive Director Vivek Couto.

The summit is taking place September 26-28 at Ayana Estate in Bali, Indonesia.
