Flintoff, 45, was injured in December on the test track of the TV car show at Dunsfold Park Airfield in Surrey. .

He was seen with the England team during their one-day international match with New Zealand in Cardiff on Friday.

Filming for the 34th series of the BBC show has been suspended pending a health and safety review into the incident. Flintoff was not working with England in a capacity official but was invited to be part of the team.

The former all-rounder, who had visible scars on face and duct tape on nose, wore bucket hat and dark glasses. while leading lineout drills with the England players at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

He then seen sitting on England. balcony during New Zealand's innings, with the visitors securing a dominant eight-wicket victory.

England Captain Jos Buttler said it was "great" to have Flintoff on the team.

"He's obviously an English legend and it's just nice to have him in the group" , Buttler said.

"He was not recruited with a specific role, just to be there and observe." p>

"Some guys can rack their brains a little and he's fitted in really well. It's great to have him with us. Just for this series."

After the December 13 accident, Flintoff received medical treatment on scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

In March, the BBC presented apologized to Flintoff for his injuries and said she would continue to support him during his recovery.

Flintoff retired from cricket in 2009 after playing 79 Tests, 141 one-day internationals and seven T20s for England.

He played a key role in England's Ashes successes in 2005 and 2009, and was captain between 2006 and 2007.

Flintoff moved into television presenting after retiring and joined Top Gear as a presenter. in 2019 alongside Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris.
