AOC under investigation for possible ethics violations

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is under investigation for possible ethics violations...and there's speculation about her infamous Met Gala appearance in 2021.

The US House Ethics Committee formally announced the investigation on Wednesday, saying the case was brought to them in June and their findings would be released sometime next year. The Committee did not provide details on what prompted the investigation.

The AOC representative says, "The congresswoman has always taken ethics extremely seriously, refusing any donations from lobbyists, corporations, or other special interests. We are confident that this case will be dismissed ."

Now, dating back to last year...conservative groups filed 2 ethics complaints against AOC after she attended the Met Gala, claiming her dress was an 'unacceptable gift' and Instagram bought it special access for her.

You may remember that the famous New York Democrat wore a white dress emblazoned with the phrase "Tax the rich".

If she received free tickets, it could be a violation of house rules, which is why some people think that's what the committee is looking at now.
