Assembly Polls: Anambra CP commends INEC and other stakeholders for their peaceful conduct

The Police Commissioner deployed to Anambra State by the Inspector General of Police for the 2023 House of Assembly Elections, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has thanked the brave people of Anambra State 'Anambra for their peaceful conduct during the elections.

He noted this was the same peaceful disposition they showed in the last gubernatorial election in 2021, when he was DC Operations for command.

CP Adeoye commended the state's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its dedication and commitment to conducting a transparent and credible exercise.

He praised the sportsmanship shown by the competitors who showed maturity throughout the exercise.

Adeoye thanked the state government for allowing the people to express their choice on an equal footing.

He commended the heads of all state security agencies for their patriotism and sacrifice in the line of duty and the unprecedented synergy and support with the police that ensured success.

They also thanked all the officers and men of the Anambra State Police Command for their neutrality and professionalism in the just-concluded election.

He urged all stakeholders to continue working for the greater good of the Nation in all their endeavours.

Aderemi Adeoye thanked the Inspector General of Police for his confidence in allowing him to serve the nation in this capacity.

The congratulatory message was in a statement signed and made available to reporters in Awka on Wednesday by State Command Public Relations Officer DSP Ikenga Tochukwu.
