Atiku Abubakar: The only solution to the situation in Nigeria today
Over the past eight years, Nigeria has experienced dramatic changes that have reshaped our social, economic and political environment in negative ways. The solutions that have been promised have clearly been unable to deliver meals to our tables, or maintain unity, peace and progress for all of our people.
Across the country, lives and property of our citizens have been lost in communal clashes, some between longtime neighbors, that could have been handled by a committed government.
An insurgency in the northeast that we were promised would be crushed within the first four years of the APC has persisted unchecked. In the midst of all this violence, the current government has remained silent and shown its inability to face these challenges, even showing extreme bias. Today, they still claim, shamelessly, that only they can solve the problems they have visibly worsened. In the next elections, the decision to be made is obvious. Do we continue with the failed policies that have made Nigeria economic, political and social or do we change course and elect a leadership that has proven itself best prepared to meet these challenges? As we seek a leader who will provide resourceful solutions to lift Nigeria out of its current challenges, it is fundamental that our next President has a history of building bridges to connect all the different groups that make up the Nigerian nation and must possess some of the qualities that reveal an attachment to the democratic principle in his private and public life, and in the way he delegates responsibilities. Unlike candidates who celebrate the mentorship of political disciples within their limited political space, Atiku's mentorship spans the entire nation, regardless of ethnicity, religion or geopolitical space.![Atiku Abubakar]( https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2023/01/ATUI.png)
