"After a few busy years, I made the decision to take a step back to allow me to spend time focusing on myself," Lanning said.

Double Cricket World Cup winner added: "I am grateful for the support of Cricket Australia (CA) and my teammates and ask that my privacy be respected during this time."

Lanning will miss the next Hundred tournament, in which she to represent the Trent Rockets.

"We are understandably disappointed pointed out that Meg will not be playing for us this year , but she has our full support as she takes a break from cricket," said Trent Rockets.
