The Axelar proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain and the infrastructure company behind the Sui blockchain, Mysten Labs, announced a partnership on September 27 to provide cross-chain communication to developers via General Message Passing, with the aim of advancing the prospect of a "super DApp". The integration should be completed before the end of the year.

Collaboration will allow DApps created in Move - Mysten's programming language - to call any function on any external string. According to the companies, developers will be able to provide users with the ability to "'draw' with whatever token, wallet, and blockchain they want, without needing to link or trade to access functionality." cases range from embedding liquidity in web3 games to using digital assets as collateral for multi-chain lending and borrowing.

Speaking to Cointelegraph, Axelar CEO and Co-Founder Sergey Gorbunov explained:

"The open and permissionless nature of Web3 gives it an advantage that has yet to be exploited. In Web2, super apps are based on monopolies or oligopolies. In Web3, developers can compose at will - but so far this composability has been constrained within the confines of existing ecosystems.General Message Passing, combined with the power of the Move programming language and the Sui blockchain, gives developers an unparalleled set of tools even in Web2."

Cross-chain technology facilitates the exchange of data between Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) designs or external systems, thereby aiding interoperability, which can improve the security of designs, and b. ..
