Ballon d'Or 2022: Lewandowski names his La Liga rival as favorite to win the award
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has named Real Madrid's Karim Benzema his favorite for the 2022 Ballon d'Or.
This year's award ceremony takes place in Paris on Monday.
Benzema has had a sensational year, having spearheaded Los Blancos' winning campaigns in La Liga and the Champions League.
Throughout the year, the 34-year-old scored 29 goals in all competitions for Real.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Lewandowski told Vamos: "The Ballon d'Or will probably be won by Benzema…if they don't cancel it."
Lewandowski will face Benzema in Sunday's Clasico which will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu.
