Barkley signs in Nice
Nice have confirmed they have finalized the signing of Ross Barkley, announcing it to the crowd ahead of their game against Monaco.
Barkley's contract with Chelsea Football Club was terminated earlier this week, opening up the possibility of a move elsewhere. The decision was taken by Nice to go after him, adding to the recent invasion of former Premier League stars they have been on lately.
Aaron Ramsey, Kasper Schmeichel and Nicolas Pepe have all signed for Nice, hoping Barkley can return to the form that initially boosted his career during his time at Aston Villa.
Barkley is not considered to be at his peak by many, but in the context of France's footballing elite, as well as the team Nice were able to build, it's not hard to imagine a world in which he is able to have a few good years there.
