Bauchi: Bala Mohammed signs 12 bills

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has signed 12 bills passed by the State Legislative Assembly.

Among the bills that have been signed into law is the Bill to Establish Bauchi State Youth Awareness and Empowerment Program and for other related purposes in 2022.

Speaking Friday evening at Government House after the signing of the bills, Governor Mohammed said the objective of the bill is to explore job creation opportunities and provide training young people in the acquisition of skills that will enable young people to be gainfully employed and independent.

The governor said other bills that have been signed into law include a bill providing for the establishment of the Bauchi State and Local Government Contributory Pension Plan and other related matters 2022, a bill to repeal the Bauchi State Urban Planning and Development Council 2012 and Adopt the Bauchi State Physical Planning and Development Control Council 2022.

Other bills according to him include a bill to repeal Bauchi State College of Agriculture 2013 and enact a law to establish divisions of agricultural colleges at Bauchi State University and for related matters 2022, a bill to provide for the establishment of infrastructure of Bauchi Development and Maintenance Agency 2022.

"Others include a bill to repeal the Bauchi State Judiciary Segregation of Accounts Act, a bill to provide the Bauchi State Tourism Development Corporation, a bill to bill to repeal the Bauchi State University Establishment Act 2010 and enact a law to establish Sa'adu Zungur University 2022, a bill to establish the State Security Trust Fund 'State of Bauchi and other related purposes 2022'

"Other bills to be enacted are a bill to establish the Bauchi State Environmental Trust Fund 2022, a bill to repeal the Environmental Protection Act 2017, management of the Bauchi State House and to enact a law providing for the management of funds accumulated in Bauchi State House of Assembly of the State Treasury and a bill to establish the law of 2022 on Bauchi State Roads and Transport Agency,” he said

Governor Mohammed commended the State House of Assembly for studying the details of the bills before passing them, stressing that this reveals the cordial relationship between the legislature and the executive arm of government.< /p>

Speaking earlier, Speaker of Bauchi State Legislative Assembly Suleiman Y Abubakar said that all laws if properly implemented will directly affect the lives of people in state and protect their lives and property. .

He called on the people of the state to continue supporting the current administration.
