Nollywood actor Yul Edochie advised men against beating their wives and partners.

He noted that no matter how angry a woman angers her man, such a man should restrain himself and avoid hitting his spouse.

The father of five made it known on Saturday, in a video he shared on his Instagram page.

“No matter how she upsets you, stick with it. Wahala dey every relationship o. It’s the truth. Forget the pictures you see on Instagram and all that stuff,” he said in Pidgin.

Edochie added, "Anyway, you're not hitting a woman. It's not a show of strength, it's a show of weakness."

Although Edochie didn't mention any references, her statement comes days after Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke-Faani announced the crash of her nine-year marriage by saying she didn't want to die .

In the ad titled, "Leave now or leave like a corpse," Chacha also apologized to her fans for "living a lie" in her marriage.
