Ben Coad: Yorkshire couture bowler signs two-year extension at Headingley

The 28-year-old, Harrogate-born, has a top-class 210 wickets since his debut in June 2013, and has led the county-paced attack in recent years.

Coad has been hampered by a groin injury in 2022 but returned to action in August.

"As a boy from Yorkshire I want to help this club to get through the tough times and get back to where they should be," Coad said.

General Manager of Cricket Darren Gough added: "He has been central to our Championship team for many years. s seasons and we believe he will continue to lead our attack for years to come.

"Despite the frustrations of an injury that kept him sidelined for much of this summer Ben came back and showed his skills in both the Cup and the One Day Championship.

"We believe that with another good winter in his legs, Ben can thrive again in 2023 and play a big part in our effort to get back to Division 1."
