Employees at budget airline Bonza were 'screaming and crying' when they found out that they would not receive a month's salary. after its fleet of planes was grounded.

The airline suspended all flights at 11:51 p.m. Monday and entered voluntary administration for a few hours later.

In a statement, Bonza revealed that its aircraft leases were unexpectedly terminated due to a failure to pay its loans the previous month.

Flights will remain grounded until May 7 at the earliest as Bonza administrators Hall Chadwick hold meetings daily with interested parties and lessors.

'Meanwhile, as long as the planes remain grounded and cash flow and financing are insufficient, the administrators are unable to resume full operations," said a press release.

' The administrators also have no choice but to resignation of the majority of the company's employees, pending the outcome of the ongoing discussions above.'
