Burger King's Whopper Size lawsuit allowed to continue, judge rules

Burger King takes a partial 'L' in court...a judge says they'll have to go to court in a lawsuit alleging their Whopper ads are misleading - AKA, size matters here, folks.< /p>

It's been raging for about a year now: A class action lawsuit was filed in 2022 targeting BK's iconic burger and the way it was portrayed...specifically its size, which the plaintiffs say class action, amounts to false advertising. .

The lawsuit alleges that Burger King showed huge Whoppers in nearly all of its promotional materials — from TV spots to online pages and other forms of advertising — and tricked customers into giving them little gimmicks. Whoppers IRL, which pales in comparison to ads.

As a result of this alleged deception...the lawsuit claims that Burger King has long enriched itself on the backs of its customers, which they claim violates a ton of laws and regulations that establishments restoration must respect. .

Now, as far as the judge's decision on how this is going to go...he has approved some parts of the legal proceedings, but not others. Hizzoner says Burger King will NOT have to respond to claims relating to its online/TV ads - which the plaintiffs say formed a large part of their alleged scheme...and BK will NOT have to fight either complaints related to consumer protection law. /p>

These specific parts of the lawsuit were dropped, at Burger King's request, but other parts of the lawsuit -- which BK also wanted to dismiss -- were given the green light to continue...which is a bad thing. news for Son Royal. Frying.
