"If I had played again, I wouldn't be able to do this and I might get hurt," Carli told us on the Special Forces red carpet . "So for me, I think I was just going into that retirement phase, just kind of navigating through that and it was going to be another challenge. I challenged myself on the football pitch for so long and I wanted to see what I was made of."
