CFDA inducts 10 new members
The Council of Fashion Designers of America has added 10 designers to its roster.
New CFDA members are Brandon Blackwood; KidSuper's Colm Dillane; Tremaine Emory of Denim Tears and Supreme; Danielle Hirsch by Danielle Frankel; Greg Lauren; Raúl Lopez de Luar; J. Okuma's Jamie Okuma; Daniel Roseberry from Maison Schiaparelli; Rio Uribe; Gypsy Sport and Elena Velez.
"It's so important for the world to see top level talent coming from America. Our new members represent all that America has to offer…diversity…creativity…and true individual talent,” said CFDA President Thom Browne.
"These 10 designers were voluntarily selected and invited by the board, which is a great honor," said Lisa Smilor, CFDA Executive Vice President. "The CFDA looks forward to their active participation in the organization and working together to help champion and elevate American fashion and spark change positive."
CFDA has a membership list of 458 American designers of women's, men's, jewelry, eyewear and accessories. In addition to hosting the annual CFDA Fashion Awards, the organization owns the fashion calendar, is the official calendar organizer for New York Fashion Week, and offers Runway360. The organization also provides its members with thought leadership and business development support.
