Charles Hanson: Auctioneer accused of assault after domestic incident

Auctioneer Charles Hanson has been charged with bodily harm after a domestic incident in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police say the TV antiques expert has been charged with several offenses, after officers were called to an address in Quarndon in June.

They include two counts of ABH, two counts of assault and controlling and coercive behavior.

The 45-year-old has been released on bail and will appear at South Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on January 10.

Mr. Hanson first acted as an antiques expert on the BBC's Bargain Hunt in 2002.

He also appeared on Flog It ! and Antiques Road Trip.

Mr. Hanson is also known for running Hansons Auctioneers, a company based in Etwall, Derbyshire.
