Chelsea close to Aubameyang deal
According to a recent report by The Times, Chelsea are close to reaching a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It is believed that Marcos Alonso will move to the Nou Camp as part of the deal, with a two-year deal in place as well as an option for a further 12 months.
Aubameyang didn't exactly leave English football in the best of ways when he left Arsenal and, as you can imagine, fans are unlikely to welcome him with open arms to the Emirates if he does succeed a move to their rivals.
Still, Chelsea desperately need a natural goalscorer and the veteran falls into that category.
It looks like there's still plenty left in the tank, it doesn't seem to be gelling as well with Barca as many had hoped, and it's the kind of proven product you just can't craft at this level.
