Chelsea investigate racist abuse allegations against Tottenham's son

Chelsea are investigating after alleged racist abuse was directed at Tottenham striker Son Heung-min at Stamford Bridge, threatening 'strongest action'.

The South Korean international was allegedly abused by a member of the crowd during Sunday's moody match, which ended 2-2.

Chelsea have already issued lifetime bans to fans found guilty of similar behavior.

The back of every seat at Stamford Bridge now contains instructions on how to report incidents of abuse as part of the club's drive to eradicate it.

"Chelsea Football Club finds any form of discriminatory behavior totally abhorrent. It has no place at Chelsea or in any of our communities," a statement from Chelsea read.

“Chelsea FC have always been very clear about their zero-tolerance stance on discriminatory behavior, but there are still idiots like this who attach themselves to this club as so-called” fans", which puts Chelsea FC, our coaches, players, staff and our true supporters to shame.

"We are investigating this incident and, if identified, this individual will face the strongest action at the club."
