Christina Perri Announces Birth of Daughter Pixie: 'Lots of Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust'

Christina Perri's new baby girl has arrived. The star shared the news of the arrival of her new baby Pixie Rose in an Instagram post, calling her newborn "our magical double rainbow baby".

"She's here! With a lot of faith, trust and pixie dust, she's arrived safely," the "Jar of Hearts" singer wrote in the Oct. 23 post.

Perri shares a daughter, Carmella, with her husband, Paul Costabile. The entertainer has been open about her experiences with pregnancy loss over the years. Perri first suffered a pregnancy loss in January 2020, and later that year shared that her daughter Rosie was "born silent" after an early delivery, per People.

Perri also told the outlet that she wants to continue sharing her story. "After what I've been through, I will dedicate my life to helping other women. I truly believe that's Rosie's purpose," she said. She revealed that she found out she had a blood clotting disorder called antiphospholipid syndrome which could have caused the pregnancy losses and started asking the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to ensure that more women are tested for this. Perri and her OB-GYN, Dr. Mary Kerr, spoke in more detail about the disorder on a July episode of Good Morning America, with Perri saying it was a "relief" to know she was "right, and that something was wrong" when she found out about the condition.

Perri also chronicled her pain over her pregnancy losses and her struggle with postpartum depression after the birth of Carmella on her album "A Lighter Shade of Blue."
