The collapse of the famous crypto exchange FTX is drawing many accusations, but on whether its famous spokespersons are partly responsible... Congress has different opinions.
We caught up with Rep. Al Lawson on Wednesday at Reagan National Airport, where we asked what he thought of all the famous people who served as ambassadors for FTX during its heyday – which no doubt prompted Standards to invest and potentially lose a lot of money amid its bankruptcy.
The Florida congressman is not shy...telling us that the responsibility must be shared by all parties involved, including the rich and famous, who he says can survive financial losses better than your average Joe.

He also offers advice on any future crypto endorsements...warning celebrities (and ordinary laypeople) to proceed with caution, as this business is a high-risk gamble.
On the other hand... Rep. Ritchie Torres actually defended FTX celebrities when we caught up with him on Capitol Hill — this amid ongoing congressional hearings on the issue, where lawmakers are trying to make global crypto decisions.
