MakerDAO, an early pioneer of decentralized finance, has drawn criticism over its decision to block virtual private network (VPN) users from accessing its recently launched lending platform, Spark Protocol .

"It's one thing to block US residents. It's a whole other thing to block anyone around the world who uses a VPN for privacy," Blec said, adding that it's a 'real war on privacy'.
