Corneliani Men Fall 2023

For his second collaboration with Corneliani on the Circle line, Paul Surridge turned to his "memoirs of colours, fabrics and textures.”

Building on his decades in the industry, Surridge believes he too has a legacy and that it was time to bring his childhood memories, his "Northern soul" and "desirable, timeless and beautifully crafted" pieces into the collection.

Enter the coats and maxi blazers in worsted virgin wool or the quilted trench, and classic fabrics like the flannel, tweed, Shetland-inspired wool and brushed cotton.

The coat has been revisited with dropped shoulders and maxi raglan sleeves. The blazer has been oversized, becoming a new peacoat worn over a suit.

There were also nice knits with flat ribs and super thin and light blends.

Simplicity and comfort were key to the range, said Surridge, as he "explored the difference between how clothes feel versus how they look."

The silhouette was soft and informal, aided by the 1990s-inspired stretch textures.

In keeping with the collection's spirit of sustainability, the separate pieces have been designed to last over seasons.

It was a personal collection that reflected the designer's sophisticated taste and soft luxury.
