It's taken three decades, but "Hocus Pocus 2" is finally here, just in time for spooky season! The Sanderson Sisters are back, once again, thanks to the interference of modern Salem teenagers who don't realize what they've done, and it's a scary good time for everyone. The warm reception to the sequel, of course, has everyone wondering: could a third episode happen?

For now, at least, the actors aren't looking that far ahead - they're just enjoying the fun of reuniting for this sequel.

"I feel like we're done. We've extracted all the stories you could get from it," Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson, told Entertainment Weekly. "I guess never say never, but I'm grateful we got to do it again. I don't know if there are any plans for a third, but I know the fans are devoted to this movie. I'm just glad we can bring them that.

In the same interview, Bette Midler (Winnie) expressed similar sentiments: gratitude that she was able to see the role again, uncertainty that she might get another one, but open-mindedness if the right story turns out. presented.

"After 30 years without a 'Hocus Pocus' sequel, I've always envied people who can play their favorite character more than once," she said. "The fact that we were able to finally do it, after 30 years of promoting the idea, I'm glad we were able to do it. I would love to have a franchise – especially a character that I love to play. If there was a third one, of course, I would sign, but I don't know how. I can't imagine what the story would be, but I love Winifred, Sarah, Mary and our relationship."

If a third movie does end up happening, though, at least one of the "evil sisters" has an idea how she might make it happen!

"Kathy had a great idea that the third one should be animated. That would be cool and a smart idea!" Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah) told "Entertainment Weekly". "It's fun, funny, and could be interesting and innovative, like old or new [animation]. Of course, I'd love to have a chat, it just depends on what Kathy and Bette want!"< /p >
