Crystal Palace vs Arsenal: They have a squad to be 'closer to the title' - Vieira

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has claimed that Arsenal now have a team that will be closer to competing for the Premier League title.

Vieira said so in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

The Frenchman will put aside the emotion against his former club on Friday evening.

But Vieira was impressed with their summer activity ahead of the new season.

"I think it's about focusing on the game and our performance.

"Arsenal are better placed than last year.

"They have signed new players and they have the team to get closer to the title," Vieira said.
