Singer-songwriter Declan McKenna has said his first new music in two years is his "proudest work at this day".
The musician, from Hertfordshire, revealed his new single Sympathy on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday evening.
McKenna, who plays Reading and Leeds next month, has been working on new music in London, Brighton and Los Angeles since the lockdown ended.
He said like his first tracks, the new songs were mostly made in homes rather than studios.
" The core of each song was basically built and recorded in a bedroom or living room," he said.
"I have to show everyone world what I do when I make music in my room because it's me. It's something that music fans will really appreciate, its straightforwardness."
