Delta 2023: Okowa's assistant Paleke quits PDP and declares support for APC's Omo-Agege

Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Senior Special Assistant for Youth Development to the Governor of Delta State, Comrade Patrick Oghenerhoro alias Paleke, dumped the Governor and the People's Democratic Party, PDP, for the Congress of all progressives, APC, in the state.

Oghenerhoro said he has enormous confidence in Ovie Omo-Agege as a Deltan who desires the development of the state and the welfare of his people.

He stressed that he believed in his vision to build a new Delta.

Oghenerrhoro further explained that he had carefully considered the political credentials of all candidates for the governorship of the Delta in the upcoming general elections and that only Senator Ovie Omo-Agege had shown capacity and a genuine interest in the reconstruction of the state.< /p>

Paleke, as he is affectionately known, said voting for the People's Democratic Party, PDP candidate Sheriff Oborevwori, is tantamount to extending Okowa's term and prolonging the suffering of the Deltans.

Hon. Oghenerhoro stated that he prefers the general interest of the Deltans to his personal monetary gains, which is why he decided to resign from his PDP membership as well as his appointment as Senior Special Assistant, SSA of the administration headed by Okowa.

He assured Deltans that he will work with several others to bring more hands and resources to save the state and put it on a progressive path.

Before this time, Paleke was one of the governor's most trusted political allies.

He was the former youth leader of the PDP in Eastern Ethiopia and a former board member of the Urhobo Youth Council.
