Egbetokun visits alma mater, pledges support for 50th anniversary

Acting Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun visited his alma mater, Anglican Comprehensive High School Ipaja, ahead of the school's 50th anniversary.

The visit was disclosed by the Force's Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, via a Nigerian Police Facebook post on Saturday.

Egbetokun, who was named chairman of the anniversary planning committee, took the opportunity to reconnect with his former classmates.

The Chief of Police expressed his gratitude for the strong foundation and positive impacts his alma mater has had in shaping his career and character.

The statement reads: "He stressed the importance of education in shaping future leaders and pledged his unwavering support to ensure that the 50th anniversary celebration becomes an unforgettable milestone for the school."

His visit also rekindled the spirit of friendship in the school community.

“The 50th anniversary celebration promises to be a momentous occasion, as the IGP, along with the entire Anglican Comprehensive High School Ipaja community, come together to celebrate a rich history of excellence and chart a course for even greater achievements in the future,” Adejobi added.
