Ekiti Gov, Oyebanji appoints SSG, CPS, freezes state accounts

The new Governor of Ekiti State, Hon. Biodun Oyebanji, yesterday appointed Dr. Habibat Adubiaro as Secretary of the State Government.

In the same vein, Oyebanji has appointed Mr. Yinka Oyebode as Chief Press Officer.

These were included in separate statements signed on Sunday by the head of service, Mr. Bamidele Agbede.

The appointments, according to Oyebanji, are effective immediately.

Adubiaro, a devout Muslim, served as a special adviser during the first term of former Governor Ayodele Fayose.

She is currently the President of the Federation of Muslim Women's Association of Nigeria, Ekiti State Chapter.

Oyebode, a native of Ido Ile in Ekiti West Local Government Area of ​​Ekiti State, was appointed by Governor Kayode Fayemi during his first term as Special Assistant for Media before being elevated to chief press officer.

Fayemi appointed Oyebode to the same post in 2018 and he served until the last day of government before his reappointment by Oyebanji.

Furthermore, Oyebanji ordered the immediate closure of all government accounts until further notice.

In a statement by his chief press secretary, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji ordered all government accountants to comply with the directive in the interest of the state.
