“This will assure Nigerians that they are living up to their mandate to ensure the safety of lives and property across the country, and that there will also be no interference with the elections of 2023 as planned as Nigerians will not accept any attempt to scuttle the conduct of the general elections.

The group also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to intensify its training of ad hoc staff, particularly in the use of the bimodal voter accreditation system, adding that INEC must also continue education and voter education to discourage the buying and selling of votes. , as seen in the 2022 Ekiti and Osun elections.

Citing complaints from Nigerians about arduous collection processes at some ward collection centers, Situation Room called on INEC to extend ward-level collection until February 23, 2023, to enable more people to easily collect their PVCs and deploy more staff to service centers to facilitate the distribution of PVCs and speed up the process.

The group also urged the CENI to do everything in its power to ensure the smooth running of the elections, while urging registered voters to pick up their PVCs ahead of the general elections.
