EPL: It's a shame, very sad - Hakim Ziyech told to leave Chelsea

Former Real Madrid star Marco van Basten has urged Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech to leave Stamford Bridge.

According to him, the situation of the Moroccan winger at Stamford Bridge is "not good for football".

The Moroccan has made just two appearances for the English top flight this season, warming up for Graham Potter's bench in Chelsea's last two games.

He was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge with several clubs lining up for him in the summer transfer window.

And Van Basten, a former Tottenham midfielder, believes Ziyech should push to leave Stamford Bridge in January to salvage his career.

“There is another transfer window approaching,” Van Basten told Ziggo Sport.

"It's sad and a pity. Ziyech is a great player. We have to see someone like that, we watch TV for such a player and come to the stadium.

"It's a shame for all of football that he's on the bench. If those kind of players don't get minutes, it's not good for football."
