EPL: London is Blue – Mykhailo Mudryk responds to Zinchenko on Chelsea transfer
Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk has responded to a recent comment from national team-mate Oleksandr Zinchenko who was generally unhappy with his decision to snub Arsenal for Chelsea.
Mudryk was set to join the North London side from Shakhtar Donetsk before the Blues suddenly hijacked the deal and the 21-year-old is now playing his football at Stamford Bridge.
The highly-rated winger has so far struggled in west London following his £88.5million transfer fee, making seven appearances and producing just one assist.
However, Mudryk was grateful for the presence of his compatriot Zinchenko, who helped him acclimatize to his new surroundings.
Zinchenko recently revealed that he told his compatriot it didn't matter after joining Graham Potter's team.
"He helped me a lot. I appreciate him a lot. We often joke about Arsenal, Chelsea and the color of London," he told Sky Sports.
"But I like this guy, he's a very funny and very nice guy. We always spend time [together] in a positive way."
When asked about the color of London, Mudryk answered emphatically: "Blue".
